Band Information - Little Black Dress
www.myspace.com/littleblackdresstheband
You don’t often get the rarified skill of singing acappella within the framework of one the most hardworking covers bands around. Little Black Dress does just that. Their accapella harmonies were the original basis for the band and the instruments were added as an amazing afterthought.
These five passionate musos from the Barossa Valley play honest energetic sets with the fervour of over a decade of gigs throughout SA. The ladies have played support for Rene Geyer, Brian Cadd, Glenn Shorrock and The Borders, plus a tonne of Fringe Festivals.
Little Black Dress reworks the magic of the sixties through to the good music of now. Their arrangements are authentic and quirky and they easily slip an accapella song into the set. The strong melodic focus of the band keeps time with a funky rhythm section to whip up a good time on the dance floor.

So much more than a reality TV star- Holly will delight with original material from her upcoming debut EP along with great covers. As seen at the famous Melbourne live music venue The Espy.

Zkye (Pronounce it Skye) Zkye Compson-Harris has been performing professionally since the age of 16, at which time she commenced studies at the Elder Conservatorium in Jazz voice and Noarlunga TAFE.
After completing her first album “Beyond The Pane” Zkye is now focused on developing audiences on the east coast and overseas as well as promoting the album in the media. The production of the album was assisted by a successful grant application in 2006 by the South Australian Youth Arts Board (Carclew).
Recent highlights include an opening slot at The Basement in Sydney and subsequent invitations to return, shows with CC Entertainment and Joseph Calderazzo including “It’s only Rock and Roll” at Sydney’s own Olympic Park and Acoustica By The Lake just to name but a few.
Continuing to flourish Zkye belongs to a voice not easily forgotten or mistaken.
