Black Rabbit cottage is housed in the lovingly restored and extended ‘Benjamin Wickham Cottage’ (circa 1860's). Couples or families are invited to enjoy a relaxing stay in our self contained country accommodation with many cellar doors, restaurants and art galleries in reach. Enjoy the best our Fleurieu has to offer including the renowned ‘Willunga Farmers Markets’. The beach and coast is a short 15 minute drive, or relax with a glass of wine on the ‘Black Rabbit’ verandah with views extending out over McLaren Vale to the sea. Black Rabbit contains two queen rooms and a third room with two singles and one double bed, self contained kitchen, laundry with washing machine and bathroom with a large bath. Beautiful country garden with many fruit trees, including huge old Mulberry trees. The Benjamin Wickham cottage was lovingly restored in 2007, following strict heritage guidelines. The cottage celebrates the original building, along with the old dairy behind, which is still in its’ original form. We feel very grateful to be the current custodians of such a fantastic piece of South Australian History. The outlook over the surrounding towns, vineyards and across the Gulf of St Vincent creates a relaxing outlook along with the magnificent ‘Wickham’ Ranges providing the perfect back drop for a relaxing stay.
